JUUL Party Mode?!

So you’re at the local movie theater with some friends seeing Infinity War.

Thus far, you’ve resisted the urge to excuse yourself for a couple of JUUL rips, not wanting to miss a single line of Thanos’ deep, thought-provoking dialogue.

Or a single moment of ass-kicking, for that matter.

But at over two and a half hours, Infinity War is not a short film and the urge to consume nicotine is starting to distract you.

You decide to take a mini stealth rip in the theater.  Normally, you don’t like vaping when you’re not supposed to, but Infinity War is worth the minor offense.

You take the small rip, but when you remove your hand from the JUUL’s LED, something surprises you:

Bright, rapidly flashing rainbow colored lights!

Your friends immediately notice the flashing and look towards you.

“AHHH! Got him with the JUUL party mode!” they sneer.

What gives?! What is this “JUUL party mode” your friends mentioned? How will you ever take another stealth rip?

Don’t worry.  The Doc’s got you covered.  Today I will talk about the notorious JUUL party mode, including what it is, why it happens, AND how to fix it.

What is JUUL Party Mode???

JUUL Party Mode is a glitch that occurs randomly for undetermined reasons.  Potentially due to neglecting regular cleanings of your JUUL.

The only way we’d ever figure it out for sure would be by taking apart the JUUL and seeing what’s going on inside.

Until then, what we DO know is that this glitch is the result of an intended feature of the JUUL gone haywire.

Have you ever noticed that after you finish a rip, the LED light remains lit for a little while?

Well, next time you take a hit, try rapidly shaking your JUUL while the light is still on.

It should look something like this:

THIS is “JUUL party mode” as it was intended to be.  I think JUUL imagined everyone holding up lighters at a concert, and decided to try and incorporate their own version of that.

JUUL Party Mode Glitch Explained

The JUUL party mode glitch occurs when the motion sensor that allows the effect shown above gets locked up, for whatever reason.

This motion sensor thinks you are moving the JUUL, so it displays the light pattern associated with motion.

The quick flashing is what gives the JUUL the illusion of smooth color transition when quickly moving the device back and forth. (it’s intended use)

Now, some people love the JUUL party mode glitch and have no desire to correct it.

However, I (and many others), find the rapid flashing disruptive.

For those in the second category, there is a simple solution to this problem:

How to Fix JUUL Party Mode

Since the main offender here is the JUUL’s motion sensor, we need to, quite literally, slap some sense into that damn thing.

The fix for JUUL party mode is to simply give the JUUL a firm whack on a hard surface.

Try to make the impact point of the whack land right behind the LED light, as this is also the location of the motion sensor.

This sudden jarring is apparently enough to reset the sensor and have the motion detection restored to normal functionality.

I have used this technique many times, on many JUUL’s without fail.  Once performing this technique once, the JUUL usually ceases to have this glitch again for at least another couple of days.

Considering how quick and painless the fix is, having to perform it once every so often isn’t really a big deal.

Here’s a video showing the process:

(BTW, this IS NOT me. Unfortunately I did not have a malfunctioning JUUL at the time of making this post, so I could not record my own video.)

Next time your JUUL’s LED gets a little over-excited, you’ll know exactly what to do.

And if you’ve never heard of or experienced this issue before, you’re now fully prepared IF it does happen to your JUUL.

You ALSO now know about JUUL party mode’s secret intended use, so you can amaze your friends with rainbow circles.

Have a colorful (or colorless) day dear JUULers, we’ll see you soon.

Have you ever experienced the JUUL party mode glitch?  Do you like this glitch? Or do you prefer the intended function? Did this bug take you by surprise the first time it happened? Let me know in the comments below!

I have had many juuls, due to losing them all the time. One time I got a juul that since day one has gone into party mode glitch. I loved it, it was so different and fun and this juul hit spectacularly. After about 8 months, I lost it, of course. I have never found another juul quite as good as that one or that consistently went into the party mode. Is there anyway to make a juul go into consistent party mode glitch?

    Hey Larken!

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a way to make party mode happen consistently. The only thing I can think of would be to try the solution outlined in this post and hope it activates party mode instead of deactivating it!

I wouldn’t do it too many times though, you could potentially damage your JUUL over time through the repeated impacts.

As for that “constantly losing your JUUL” issue, I’ve had a couple of posts in the making for a while now featuring some products that’ll help you never lose one again!

So stay tuned for those, they’re coming soon! Or you can sign up for the email list (popup on the right side of the screen) to be automatically informed when those posts come out!

    Have a great day man!

PS: What’s your favorite flavor? :3
